LUMA arrives flat, with everything needed to bring it to shape, allen key included. You build the frame first: the two frames joined by the small dowels, bolted square with the four screws. Then the two dowels slide through the cushion's side sleeves, and the cushion lowers onto the frame, each dowel settling into its cradle. A few quiet minutes, and LUMA is standing. Baltic birch plywood with the laminations left visible, the dowels turned smooth, built in our Cairo workshop. The cushion is a 3 cm microfiber core in a removable linen cushion cover that slides off to wash: machine-wash at 30°C, air-dry and reinsert. Wipe the frame with a soft, damp cloth and keep it from sitting in water.

A few things can help:
- Put an old T-shirt or something carrying your scent on the cushion.
- Place a favourite treat or toy on it.
- Let them explore on their own. Never force them onto it.
- Reward them when they approach or settle on it.
- Move nearby beds and blankets away at first.
- Keep LUMA accessible and give them time.
Where should I place LUMA?
Place LUMA somewhere your Companion already likes to rest.
Choose a quiet corner away from busy walkways and place it on a flat, stable surface they can step onto easily.
What happens when LUMA arrives?
Inspect LUMA before you accept it. If anything isn’t right, send it straight back with the courier. You don’t pay, or if you already have, we’ll refund you in full.
You can also return it within 14 days if it’s in brand-new condition, unused and in its original packaging.
LUMA carries a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects in the structure. Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll sort it out immediately.
How do I put LUMA together?
LUMA arrives flat and goes together with the included Allen key:
- Stand the two frames upright on their splayed legs.
- Join them with the two lower dowels and bolt square with the four provided screws.
- Slide a dowel through each of the cushion’s side sleeves.
- Lower the cushion onto the frames, settling each dowel into its cradle.
How do I clean LUMA?
Machine-wash the removable linen cushion cover at 30°C, then air-dry.
Slide the two dowels out of the side sleeves first, then remove the microfiber insert and place it back inside once the cover is completely dry.
Wipe the frame with a soft, damp cloth and don’t leave it sitting in water.
Are the materials safe for my Companion?
Yes. LUMA is made from Baltic birch plywood, linen and microfiber, with no harmful finishes or adhesives.
