Good health is quiet work, done a little at a time. PawLuxe is drawn by a veterinarian, and the same care that shapes a piece shapes how we think about keeping a Companion well. Below is the preventive routine that keeps a cat comfortable and protected, in plain language.

Deworming

Intestinal worms (roundworm, hookworm, tapeworm) are common, and kittens are most at risk. Left alone they bring a dull coat, poor condition and digestive upset, and some can pass to people. Kittens are wormed often in the first weeks; most adult cats, every three months. Hunters and outdoor cats may need a little more.

Parasite prevention

Fleas, ticks and mites live on the skin and in the home, and a single flea bite can set off weeks of itching. Protection is given monthly or every few months, and the best products reach internal parasites in the same dose. Use only a cat-formulated product. Several made for dogs are dangerous to cats.

Vaccination

Two core vaccines protect every cat: FVRCP, against panleukopenia, herpesvirus and calicivirus, and rabies. Kittens receive a short series in their first months, a booster a year later, then boosters every three years. Outdoor cats and kittens are often protected against feline leukaemia as well. In a country where street cats are part of daily life, rabies protection matters even for a cat who never leaves home.
