The thinking inside.

Two curved frames and two side panels lock together into one open frame, standing the cushion high and clear of the floor, open on every side.

Each cushion edge is pulled through a slot in the frame, then a rail slides into the sleeve behind it and holds that edge fast, four rails drawing the cushion taut all around.

With all four edges drawn down by the rails through their sleeves, the cushion holds taut and level across the open frame.

Shipping & assembly

LINO arrives flat and goes together by hand, no tools at all. You stand the two curved frames and lock the two side panels into the slots between them. Then pull each edge of the cushion cover through its slot and slide a rail into the sleeve behind it, drawing the cushion taut across all four sides. A few quiet minutes, nothing to tighten, and LINO is standing. Ships across Egypt in 7 to 10 business days. Materials & care

Baltic birch plywood with its laminations left visible, the rails cut and finished to match, built by hand in our Cairo workshop. The cushion is a 3 cm microfiber core in a washable cushion cover: lift the cushion cover off, machine-wash cold, air-dry and reinsert. Wipe the frame with a soft, damp cloth and keep it from sitting in water.

The piece

Lifted clear of the floor.

LINO stands a slim cushion up on an open wooden frame, lifting a Companion clear of the floor and into the room. Two curved frames splay out to the floor, two side panels lock between them, and the cushion is drawn taut across all four sides and holds level and steady underneath. A Companion steps up, turns, and settles on a clean, even rest with the air moving freely below.

It goes together by hand alone. The frames and side panels lock at the corners, and each edge of the cushion cover is pulled through a slot and held by a rail slid into the sleeve, the cushion drawn tight without a single tool. Nothing is draped and nothing dressed over it, the open frame and the taut cushion are the whole piece, built by hand. An Elevated cot, drawn as one long, open line.
