ARCH
ARCH is the curved one. Two glazed ceramic bowls drop into a figure-eight of Baltic birch plywood standing on four turned legs, lifting the meal to where a Companion eats with the head up and the body at ease, the daily ritual carried on a softer line.
Why your Companion eats at ease
The legs raise the bowls off the floor to meet a Companion, so they eat without stooping to the ground and the neck and spine stay long and easy. The kinder posture a body thanks you for over the years.
Glazed ceramic with a sealed surface that holds no odour and harbours nothing, gentle against the chin and simple to keep truly clean. Its weight keeps each bowl still while a Companion eats.
Two bowls side by side, food and water always together and always ready, a fixed point a Companion learns to return to twice a day.
Why it belongs in your room
A figure-eight of Baltic birch plywood curving around each bowl on four turned legs, one open, lifted shape that stands as a soft line in the room.
Baltic birch plywood with its laminations left visible at the edge, the board shaped and the legs fixed by hand in our Cairo workshop.
Arrives fully assembled, complete from the moment it reaches you, the two bowls lifting in and out by hand.
The build.
A figure-eight of Baltic birch plywood, two openings cut through it to hold each bowl level, the curve drawn close around them.
Two glazed ceramic bowls that drop into the openings and lift out by hand, in black or white.
Four turned legs lift the board clear of the floor, splayed a little wide to hold it steady and even underfoot.
Baltic birch plywood, sanded and finished smooth by hand, warm to the touch and made to be left in full view.

Materials & care
Baltic birch plywood with its laminations left visible, built by hand in our Cairo workshop. The two glazed ceramic bowls lift out to wash by hand or in the machine. Wipe the board with a soft, damp cloth and keep it from sitting in water.
Custom orders

The piece
The curved one.
Most raised bowls sit in a straight board. ARCH curves. Two ceramic bowls drop into a figure-eight of Baltic birch plywood, the wood drawn close around each one and lifted on four turned legs, so a Companion steps up to a meal raised to an easy height and eats with the body relaxed and the food held steady above the floor. Open underneath and light on its legs, a soft shape they return to morning and night.
We build ARCH by hand in our Cairo workshop: a Baltic birch plywood board cut to its figure-eight and sanded smooth, its laminations left bare at the edge as the only mark it needs, the legs set a little wide, the bowls glazed ceramic and weighted to sit still and kind against the chin. They lift straight out to fill and to wash. The most graceful piece in the Ceres line, the everyday ritual of feeding a Companion given a form that curves.
